Administering Erlangly

As an admin, you run Erlangly for everyone else. You install it and keep it up to date, decide who signs in and what they can do, connect your ACD, and look after email, backups and the licence. You can also do everything planners do.

Guides for administrators

  • Install: on your own Linux server, with one command.
  • Users and roles: inviting people, their roles, forgotten passwords, and taking access away.
  • Connecting your ACD: agents' states and contact volumes from Twilio Flex, Zoom, Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone or Amazon Connect, or from any ACD through the API.
  • Running Erlangly: upgrades, backups, email, signing in with your company account, and exporting your data.
  • API and command line: for your own scripts and AI assistants.
  • Your licence: the free plan, trials, keys and renewals.

A new install

Getting started goes through it in order. Your part, as admin:

  1. Install Erlangly, open the setup link it prints, and create your organisation and your own account.
  2. Settings → Organisation: your name, country, time zone, the first day of your week, and whose labour law applies.
  3. Settings → Email, so invitations, password resets and published schedules reach people.
  4. Settings → Connections: connect your ACD.
  5. Invite your planners and supervisors, then your agents: see Users and roles.
  6. Add your licence key when you buy one.

Your settings

Only admins see Settings' Organisation group:

  • Organisation, Users and Licence.
  • System: the version you're running, updates and nightly backups.
  • AI agents: the scripts and AI assistants using Erlangly's API, whose tokens they use, and what they can do. Revoke any.
  • Export: all your data as CSV files.
  • Sign-in: signing in with your company account.
  • Email and Connections.

The rest of Settings is shared with planners: see Planners.
